The new 2012 Mazda3 has been recently revealed and reviewed by many experts. The verdict is a good one! The new vehicle is great in fuel economy when compared to its competitors and it is fun and smooth to drive.
The new engine SkyActiv (four cylinder) is rated at 155 hp and 1 b-ft torque, 2.9 litre. The design is more stylish and chick, suspension and body structure also present minor changes and it comes with the manual or automatic 6 speed transmission.
The model ranked second on fuel economy out of a 5 competitors list.
- Honda Civic: 34.5 mpg
- Mazda3: 33.7 mpg
- Toyota Corolla: 32.1 mpg
- Hyundai Elantra: 29.9 mpg
- Chevy Cruze: 29.8
The price for this new model start at $19,995 and there are some dealer rebates available.
Recession led car manufacturers and dealers to offer an unlimited amount of car rebates in the past two years. This fact, made car sales turned around and finally increase a huge percentage these past months.
While this is in deed very good news, as it means consumers are regaining confidence in the economy, on the other hand it may mean, car rebates will be harder to find in the year to come.
Many factors have influenced this situation. The devastating disaster in Japan last March and the flooding in Thailand have taken a toll in massive production and have slowed down the shipping of brands such as Toyota and Honda into the U.S .
Therefore, national automakers have done all possible things to lower prices and offer rebates and incentives to increase car sales, which was very successful. If they are back on top of the leader board, does this mean that car rebates will be cut off from now on?
We don’t have yet an answer for this, but we would recommend to take advantage of the available deals this year, Black Friday and end of year car deals are always a good option if you are thinking in buying a new car.
