Available Car Dealer Rebates
Opposite to past years, this won’t be a great year to get big discounts on model end-of-year clearance sales. Discounts, rebates and incentives are being offered, but unfortunately, on a smaller scale.
Only in August this year, 4.7% less cash rebates were offered. However, there are more choices if you wish to finance or lease a vehicle. A wide variety of popular models offer 0% financing for up to 60 months and there are plenty of vehicles being leased for less than $200 a year.
Big auto makers are also offering unadvertised dealer cash rebates aiming to keep customers interested without spending a lot of money in advertising.
This Summer more 2013 vehicles have been sold and apparently there are fewer 2012 models left, therefore car dealers are not willing to negotiate better deals and discounts, as they are not urgent to clear out lots. Also, customers will not be allowed to used all incentives when purchasing a vehicle. So its either choosing a cash rebate or promotional financing.
Big trucks and SUVs currently have some of the biggest discounts because of current increase in gas prices has decreased their sales, these vehicles are just not appealing to customers at the moment. Plus, they have a lot of competition from more fuel efficient cars.
There is a $4,000 cash rebate available on Nissan Armada, a $3,500 on Chevy Impala and a 3,000 on Chevrolet’s Malibu.
