With 2013 model year vehicles on their way, automakers offer a variety of deals such as zero percent financing and rebates or lease deals on selected autos. However, we strongly suggest you choose a 2012 instead of a 2013.
The following cars are the ones with best available deals on the market at the moment:
- Ford Focus SE
The 2012 version was completely redesigned, its got a sportier exterior and more comfortable high-tech interior. It has a rating of 26 MPG in city driving and 36 in the highway. Starting price is $17,589. If you choose a zero% financing option, your monthly payments could be of $287 a month for a period of five years. loan. Or, you can choose to take the $2,000 rebate being offered instead and get alternative financing and the price would be $15,239.
- Fiat 500
This small but stylish car is rated at 30 MPG in city driving and 38 on the highway. Even though it looks very small, it is very comfortable in the inside and its got great reviews. Starting price is $15,353. On a five-year zero percent loan monthly payments would be of $256. Or, if you take the $500 rebate being offered by Chrysler Group, your price would be $14,853.
- Mazda3
This vehicle was also redesigned in 2012. It received mixed reviews. It has a strong performance and good fuel economy. The Mazda3 gets 25 MPG in city driving and 33 on the highway. Starting price on the i Sport Sedan version is $16,658, with five-year zero percent loan payments of $278. There is no cash rebate available. However, if you are interested in leasing, there is a three-year lease option with payments of $166 a month and a $1,976 due at signing.
Opposite to past years, this won’t be a great year to get big discounts on model end-of-year clearance sales. Discounts, rebates and incentives are being offered, but unfortunately, on a smaller scale.
Only in August this year, 4.7% less cash rebates were offered. However, there are more choices if you wish to finance or lease a vehicle. A wide variety of popular models offer 0% financing for up to 60 months and there are plenty of vehicles being leased for less than $200 a year.
Big auto makers are also offering unadvertised dealer cash rebates aiming to keep customers interested without spending a lot of money in advertising.
This Summer more 2013 vehicles have been sold and apparently there are fewer 2012 models left, therefore car dealers are not willing to negotiate better deals and discounts, as they are not urgent to clear out lots. Also, customers will not be allowed to used all incentives when purchasing a vehicle. So its either choosing a cash rebate or promotional financing.
Big trucks and SUVs currently have some of the biggest discounts because of current increase in gas prices has decreased their sales, these vehicles are just not appealing to customers at the moment. Plus, they have a lot of competition from more fuel efficient cars.
There is a $4,000 cash rebate available on Nissan Armada, a $3,500 on Chevy Impala and a 3,000 on Chevrolet’s Malibu.
